Superyacht Spotlight: The Azimut Grande 120SL

Azimut Yachts officially unwrapped the Grande 120SL during the Cannes Boat Show last year. The Grande 120SL is just about 36 meters and is the flagship boat of the fleet at present. The superyacht is also a great example of Italian yacht designs with Stefano Righini doing the exterior and Carlo Galeazzi handling the interior. The 120SL is a dream project which combines performance and comfort.

The Azimut Grande 120SL looks very sportive and edgy. The design lines are curvy and very sleek which gives you an image of speed and comfort finished in gold and white. The two engines come from Rolls-Royce plus a central booster, and this set up gets the boat to 36 knots on top speed. The boat is a a good blend of balancing and combining contrasts of elements that are both modern and classic. The materials are nothing but luxurious with Zebrano wood in conjunction with leather, glass, and steel.

The saloon of the 120SL is an excellent example of Italian design. The inside is dominated by gold, cream, and white palette. The furniture items are smooth, large, and soft with a good symmetrical setup.

A great element of the design is the skylight which allows the inflow of light which gives a classic finesse touch to the boat’s design. The bar area is also accessible from the main saloon and the aft deck which somehow removes the boundaries between the exterior and inferior.

The Azimut 120SL has 4 cabins for guests configured in two twins and two doubles. The suite of the owner measures 43 sq. meters which has an interior design like that of the saloon’s but with a more contemporary touch. The grand windows offer a great view of the waters and the outside.

The 120SL successfully blends excellent performance technology and luxury comforts to allow owners and guests to enjoy the sea sans the restrictions.

Dream Yacht: SL39 Go by Feadship

Feadship recently unwrapped in Monaco the third installment of their SL39 models baptized as Go.

The Go is another custom superyacht just like its SL39 predecessors, the Ocean Mercury and the Kathleen Anne. The architects of De Voogt Naval are responsible for the Feadship signature exterior design lines. The team of FPA Architects handled the interiors.

The interiors play with classy colors, fabrics, and textures to complete the luxurious looks. The designers used teak to give the main salon and dining room a natural feel. Fabric from Dominique Kieffer was used for the main salon’s sofa. The sofa can be easily turned so everyone can enjoy some entertainment courtesy of the 46-inch plasma TV on the china cabinet.

The dining room gets a black table made from oak as its certain piece. The best of the best look is competed by the satin back glass for the sliding doors and the silver linen carpet.

The bridge deck and the aft deck are the best places where guests can hang out. The blending of colors from one area to the other is perfect with the natural finish of the walls and floors. These are spacious areas where one can enjoy the view while enjoying some drinks at the big bar in the center.

The sundeck comes with sun loungers, chairs, and some breakfast tables. Under the mast of the radar, guests can relax in the large Jacuzzi or sunbathe on the sun mattresses flanking it.

Go has a superstructure made of aluminum and truly a world cruiser having a top speed of 14 knots. It is powered by 12V200 twin M70 diesel engines with 4000 nautical mile range at ten knots.

This superyacht has a tag price of €27.500.000 and is also available for charter.

Pershing 115′ Silver Streak Cruiser

I’m a Pershing fan. Every single yacht they produce just looks like it’s ready to do some speeding, without ever letting you feel like you have to give in to any kind of luxury you’re used to on the shore. The most extravagant Pershings are so decadent it’ll make the world’s richest boat-lovers slightly aroused.

I’m not a rich boat-lover, but I’m very, very aroused when I see these breathtaking photos of Pershings latest Pershing 115′ Silver Streak…

As always, Pershing has equipped this jaw-dropping dream yacht with a spacious and light interior. Both the captain (and his crew) as the passengers can enjoy any trip in full luxury. Proof below:

I like most of the interior. The exterior, though… Absolute beauty.

The whole story of Iraq vs. Jordan King bla bla doesn’t really interest me too much, but I love that boat!

Viking SanLorenzo 88′ Motor Yacht

Viking’s SanLorenzo branch (located in Italy and specialized in luxurious yachts like this one) has launched a new 88′-er, and Chuck Gnaegy has posted a pretty awesome review over at yachtforums.com, which I give full credit for the photos!

Anyway, a Viking with anything but a sports fishing focus and I’m digging it. Very lovely lines and sober yet classy interior (and deck) design that smells Italian — which is obviously a good thing.

The DOLCE FAR NIENTE is a true Dream yacht indeed. Named one of America’s largest yachts in 2007, it’s one that is not only huge, but also extremely luxurious, and available for private charter! It’s valued at well over $10,000,000 after being renovated in 2006 — so this 193 feet long (and first built in 1957) J.K. Smit is out of most ordinary people’s budget — but for ‘only’ just over $200,000 you can actually get your hands on this one for a shorter time span, either in the Caribbeans or in Central America…

Palmer Johnson 120 feet Sports Yacht

All I can say is: WOW! This thing looks like it came from outer space… With a vengeance! The sport yacht goes by the name of “Vanquish” and looks extremely fast and versatile: luxurious lounging in combination with high knot-speeding. Pure divinity on water if you ask me.

According to the comments on the video — this particular yacht is currently listed for sale in Cannes, France.

I’m short just a few million.

50 ft Sea Ray Sport 480 Motor Yacht

The broker advertises this pretty (and luxurious) 50ft motor yacht as follows: “Fresh Water boat kept in private boat house! You will not find a nicer 50 foot yacht anywhere! The next buyer can rest assured that we will assist in all aspects of new owners needs.” If you ask me, that’s a load of non-saying sales-talk.

Let’s just look at the boat: made in 2002, 15ft beam, 47ft length, 616hp diesel engine, … and all the leather you can imagine. Enjoy the pics — more info on the Nunmaker Yachts website!
